Everything about Ivan Julian totally explained

Ivan Julian (born June 26, 1955) is a guitarist and bassist who has performed with the Isley Brothers, Matthew Sweet, and Shriekback. His profile rose in 1976 when he joined Richard Hell and the Voidoids. His rarity as an African-American on the New York punk scene of the time was widely noted. Today, Julian plays Rhythm guitar with punk "supergroup" Osaka Popstar, created by New Yorker John Cafiero. The band is made up of Julian, Cafiero, Jerry Only (The Misfits), Dez Cadena (The Misfits, Black Flag), and Marky Ramone (The Ramones, The Voidoids, The Misfits)
